If you're reading this, you've porbably signed up* for our fabulous Boudoir Marathon taking place on January 10-11, 2015! I have paired up with Professional Hair and Makeup Artist Jessica, from J.Biehl & Co.  We are SO excited that you've decided to take the plunge for some fun girl time where we will create some stunning images for you!

*Don't forget, your spot isn't secure until I have received your 10% retainer.

Preparing for your
Oooh La La!!! Boudoir Session.

The week leading up to your shoot:

  • If you wax (legs, face, eyebrows, bikini, etc.) do so a few days before your session.
  • Avoid getting a tan, spray tan or regular.  Spray tay will give you an unnatural orangey glow, and a regular tan could turn your skin red.
  • Since we’re providing you with fabulous hair and makeup, we recommend getting a professional mani/pedi to polish off your look.
  • Use lotion every day to make sure your skin is moisturized and flake free and avoid salty foods if your worried about retaining any water.

24-48 hours prior:

  • Avoid drinking alcohol for at least 48 hours prior to your shoot.  Alcohol can dehydrate the skin, and make it red, blotchy, and bloated.  It can also make your eyes red. All things that we want to avoid.  We will provide some champagne to help take the edge off.
  • Drink lots of water!  I cannot stress this one enough, it’ll keep you refreshed, and keep you and your skin nice and hydrated.
  • Eat light balanced meals to help reduce bloating.
  • Do some basic stretches or yoga to loosen up your body. I’ll be molding you into some sexy positions, some which would be more comfortable if you have a good stretch before hand.
  • Make sure to pack everything you’re bringing before hand so that you don’t feel rushed getting to your shoot.
  • Shave and moisturize heavily.
  • Get at least 2 solid nights of sleep, you’re body will thank you, and your skin will thank you.  (see a trend here?)

The day of your shoot:

  • Wear loose clothing, the looser the better.  Avoid jeans, and avoid wearing a bra and panties on your way to the session if possible (wear a tank top instead under your clothing).  Any clothes that are tight can leave marks on the body that can take a while to get rid of.  Bring a robe, once you arrive we may have you undress down to your underwear, or completely depending on what you arrive in, and have you put the robe on during hair and makeup to allow time for any marks that have appeared to go away.
  • Eat a light meal so you feel comfortable, but not full or bloated.  We will have strawberries for your enjoyment while we prep you. (they make a great prop too!)
  • If you’re nervous, you can bring along a girlfriend or sister. A genuine smile or laugh makes for a sexy picture, and they can help make you feel more comfortable. (Even better if your girlfriend or sister books a session too, then you can both enjoy keeping each other entertained)

Outfits & Accessories:

We allow (3) outfit changes, if you’re unsure of which ones bring all the pieces you are interested in.  We can help you choose, and it’s better to have more options than to limit yourself.  Make sure you try your outfits, and any other pieces you bring, on ahead of time to make sure everything fits the way it should.

Here are a few outfit examples, keep in mind you don’t necessarily need less clothes to make you sexy :
  • Men’s dress shirt (white is my favorite) paired with panties, loose tie and/or fedora  (optional)
  • Boyfriend/husband’s favorite t-shirt or jersey with cute panties, can be paired with fun knee high socks, or back seam thigh highs
  • Sheer shirt, tank top or camisole with panties
  • Loosely wrapped in a shawl/scarf/cover up (shawls and scarves are great to camouflage problem arms!)
  • Wrapped up in a white sheet
  • Vintage night gown or slip
  • Classic bra & pantie set, perhaps pair with back seem thigh highs
  • Corset and panties (Looks sexy and stunning -highly recommend, particularly for curvier figures)
  • Topless with casual jeans (use arms to cover breasts or lay down on stomach down.)
  • Anything theme related (sexy french maid, or house wife, bring an apron, etc)

We highly recommend fish nets for girls with thicker legs, it’ll help make your legs look slimmer.  Also, if you plan on wearing any type of stockings, fishnets, pantyhose, bring a backup pair or two in case you get any tears or runs.

We will have some accessories and jewelry for your use, but recommend you to bring anything and everything you may want to incorporate (high heels, masks, hats, football, baseball bats, etc.)

Prepping for Pro Hair and Makeup:

  • Arrive with clean, dry hair; face washed and free of makeup.  Don’t forget to moisturize!
  • Bring pictures of makeup inspirations for the Make-Up Artist to help create the look you want.
  • Make sure eyebrows groomed and look neat.  If you’re getting them waxed or shaped professionally, do so a few days before to avoid redness.
